Those 4 years (Memories of College)

Well this poem is dedicated to those 4 years of my life that I have wasted in becoming an engineer... should have followed my heart and refrained to go thru these 4 years but though I choose to live this phase I have learnt a lot and these following lines will tell you abt my juncture thru those days....

 Those 4 years…

Moving from regular to a professional course,
Thought life would be sad and need some force,
Little did I expect my awaited dhamaal gang,
To make my 4 years simply rock with a bang…

Most amazing one was the first year,
As our group filled seniors with fear,
Ragging was done by us with infinite ease,
No, not to juniors…to seniors, believe me please…

Found one new wonder of world here,
But visiting that place filled us with fear,
Canteen is the name of that divine creation,
Eat out there and go for 2-3 days vacation…

Telling each other that we liked someone,
Giving nicknames to that special one,
All those were part of the fun and blast,
Looking back now it seems so far, like our past…

Submissions followed by class test,
Overnight studies with no trace of rest,
Everything seems like a drama now,
All done for getting a job, we know somehow...

Getting involved in some pity fights,
Then thinking about it late nights,
Organizing meetings in some park,
And solve all matters until its dark...

Birthday bumps to placement treat,
Funny names kept for each one to greet,
Tpo’s bombarding to the Papa’s power,
We saw each of these in every single hour...

Then came the day when we became seniors,
We faced online ragging each day by our juniors,
Going thru this phase we realized the fact
What our seniors went thru because of our act...

Memories of second year seems totally lost,
60% aggregate aim made us pay a heavy cost,
Each one had become serious somehow,
All those efforts were worth; this we know now...

Third year drenched us in the work load,
We had begun our journey on the professional road,
Placements seemed like the sole aim for many,
As everyone are going to slog to get each penny...

Some in Mumbai others in Bangalore,
Simply memories we have right now to store,
Whole lot will slog each day to earn money,
Few will think that this kind of a life is funny...

Simply guess 2-3 years from now,
Some will get married some engaged somehow,
X-boyfriends and x- crushes will be history,
Searching their traces will become a mystery...

Together we faced all the test,
All those heart breaks were simply the best,
That was a part of so called teenage,
Getting to this level of life is hence a prestige...

It’s now that we halt and realize,
That friends are more than Hi’s and byes,
We made our friends a part of self,
So in getting apart we need some help...

End of college life is nearing,
And I know we are all fearing,
What’s going to happen next year?
When we are no longer near...

Never again thru the campus we shall walk,
Never again in the lunch break shall we talk,
It’s all over, we r leaving everything here,
The end was so far, but now it seems so near...

Maybe we will not care to be in touch,
Will enjoy life as it has in store so much,
But one day will come when we will think,
That these four years passed away in a single blink...

When God writes your love story…

Have you wondered that really God is in charge of our lives... Every day.. Every min.. Every Sec.. And if he has compiled our life story...  then def he has written our Love Story too.. :)

When God writes your love story…

Remembering the teenage days now,
Feel like everyone were stupid somehow,
Falling in love was every day’s issue,
Breaking up was difficult for very few…

Long phone calls for romantic talks,
Never ending roads for evening walks,
All these done for ur mate’s sake,
Seems like everything was just so fake…

Telling your friends that you like someone,
Teasing and blushing was simply for fun,
Love proposals via some stupid date,
Why to do so when you know you can wait…

Those days seem today simply jaded,
All those acts also stupid and faded,
The Supremes will wasn’t there then,
So teenagers were suffering since when…

When God writes your love story…
No doubt it proceeds steadily and slowly,
The perfect One makes the perfect match,
For His children to be devoid of any patch…

Love stories complied by the supreme,
Are so perfect like the one in your dream,
Pain and sorrow is no where in picture,
As He plays the role of your teacher….

So next time you like someone,
Ask God ‘Is he/she the one?’
He will make things crystal clear,
So that you can go ahead without any fear…

Stop Running

In today's world we see all are running... some running after money... some running towards success... some running from the demons inside them... few are not yet sure why they are running... ;)...maybe they are running because all around them are running...and they don't wanna be last one in the race...

This poem is dedicated to all the marathon runners ;)... An opportunity for them to halt and think that are they running a race towards their destiny or away from their destiny... Hope you guys are not climbing a mountain, after reaching the pinnacle of which you realize that this was not your destined goal...

All I want to convey is .. do climb the mountain... But also enjoy the journey to the top :)

Stop Running…

Have you ever heard the birds?
Composing music on the trees
Or listened to the rains
In a cold evening with breeze.
Time is short,
Don’t run so fast,
Life is not going to last.

Have you told your parents?
That you will meet them tomorrow,
And in the busy days of work,
Forgot them and didn’t see their sorrow.
Time is short,
Don’t run so fast,
Life is not going to last.

Have you let a friendship die?
Simply because you have not time to say “Hi”,
Or someone asked you “How are you”,
And you didn’t find time to reply.
Time is short,
Don’t run so fast,
Life is not going to last.

Have you ever checked your mail?
And found an old friend there,
But in the haste of reaching somewhere,
Didn’t reply and failed to care.
Time is short,
Don’t run so fast,
Life is not going to last.

Have you ever promised someone?
And forgot about it in hurry,
And didn’t find time to apologize,
And got up next day with a new worry.
Time is short,
Don’t run so fast,
Life is not going to last.

Did you ever feel the morning bliss?
And felt like your day is made,
Or simply went to office as usual,
And slogged there for getting paid.
Time is short,
Don’t run so fast,
Life is not going to last.

Did you ever take a day off?
From your daily chores to rest,
Or simply went on running each day,
As though you are on a quest.
Time is short,
Don’t run so fast,
Life is not going to last.

How far will you go my friend?
Every road here has an end,
So better halt now and look around,
And try to hear your hearts sound.
Stop running now,
Before you tell yourself,
Life has ended, I don’t know how.

Why Not A Bit Late...

As they say its never too late... “That dream you stopped pursuing, go after it again. Get rid of all the excuses.” Every other voice may tell you, “No way, it’s impossible.” But God is saying, “Take a step of faith and pursue that dream. Write that book. Go back to school. Launch that new website. You still should.”

Why Not A Bit Late ...

Why are you scared of being alone?
People here have hearts that’s already torn,
Why are you troubled to see the end?
Look around you will definitely find a friend.

Why do you need a hand to hold?
Try and face this world being bold.
Why do you strive to be the best?
Just be yourself, just as the rest.

Why do you need a shoulder to cry?
Accept that this world is simply a lie.
Why do you build up trust with infinite ease?
People in future will definitely deceive and cease.

Why do you stare at the stars all night?
They are lonely too pinned up there tight.
Why do you tremble in pressure or pain?
People will not see them as they are insane.

Why do you crave for the lost dream?
It was just a flick that made you scream.
Why do you simply feel rejected?
Abiding by ones virtues has always been complicated.

Why are you scared of being loved?
Everyone don’t betray, so stop being cowed.
Why is loving someone else not your case?
Everyone has a broken heart beneath a laughing face.

Why do you stare at your cell waiting for a call?
You are simply wasting your time my doll.
Why do you constantly check your e-mails?
To get depressed after your search fails.

Why do peoples slaughtering words hurt you?
They have been doing this, this fact isn’t new.
Why do you exhibit to this world your softer half?
Practicality rules the world so they will just laugh.

Why do you see your future as jaded?
Look keenly, its right there, it’s not faded.
Why do you keep waiting for people to change?
They are trapped forever in this world’s nasty cage.

Why are you staring at hippocratic faces?
People here have been hiding them since ages,
Why are you even trying to be an advocate of God?
Your words will be killed brutally by Satan’s sword.

Why can’t you gather strength and get up again?
Life’s blows are recursive and easy to sustain,
Why can’t you fight and try and change your fate?
If not sooner then, then why not a bit late.

Busy Life Ends Life…

This peom is dedicated to all busy people ;).... Busy wth work... Busy in the name of work... In short with perspective of life busy doing nothing imp ;)...

Busy Life Ends Life…

As I entered my office today,
And logged into my mail, to checkout my work for the day,
Found that nothing for assigned to me,
After ages I found that I was totally free…

Still remember those days when I was called Miss Busy,
Drowned in work load I felt totally dizzy,
Time was falling short for me somehow,
Lost so much, I realize all that now…

Work was all I could see then,
Friends, family… lost them all since when,
Slogged from morning 8 to night 11,
Still loved that life, felt like heaven…

Issues, meetings, deadlines was all I could see,
Faced all of these still didn’t wanna flee,
Sundays working became every week’s issue,
Work place had become my home this fact is so true…

Cell phone used to be in permanent switched off mode,
All I could think of was my project, the bugs and the code,
Work issues had become part of my dreams I tell you,
Work became my life… how I let this happen I have no clue…

But today as I sit here idle compiling this write,
People around me are staring as it’s a rare sight,
No tension, no deadline, nothing to be met,
No issues, no bugs that needs to be dealt…

When I look around today, friends are lost,
Now I know that this work has made me pay a heavy cost,
Constant promises from my side to meet up earlier,
Has pissed them totally as my presence was always a failure…

Family, hmm, they are still there,
But interaction with them is lost, I don’t know where,
Outage of my work frustration, guess they had to bear,
Now they let me be by myself, I think it’s totally fair…

Love… Lost him totally in this game,
Now how hard I try things will never be the same,
Even on the day he was moving out forever,
Work strangled me that day too, and now I know I will see him never…

Recalling all this I thought its high time now,
To set the tune of my life back to normal somehow,
Wanted to get back to my friends and family come what may,
But as they say, things never go your way...

‘ONE NEW MAIL...’ there came the alert on my pc,
‘YOU ARE ASSIGNED A NEW PROJECT’... that was the news for me,
The professional in me let the poet immediately die,
‘Sir, WILL REPORT TO YOU IMMEDIATELY ’... was my reply...

No time is what we tell our loved ones,
Trust me its not worth it, you will miss much more in tons,
Balance between work and life is the need of the day,
Or else this busy life will end your life and you will have nothing to say...

Story From A Different Angle...

Hey Frnds,
This write is for today's youth... Penned down random thoughts :)

Story From A Different Angle...

Heard the story of the prince turned into frog,
Cursed with the spell that was indeed strong,
Day in and day out he waited for the magical kiss,
So that the destined princess’s arrival he didn’t miss....

One kiss and the curse was broken instantly,
Frog turned into a prince & princess watched this keenly,
There ends the story as we have seen,
And they lived happily ever after as it has always been...

Thinking about the story from another view,
What if the story had an end that was new?
The princess could have turned into a frog,
Could this ending be right or totally wrong...?

Hmm...

Well thinking about this new scenario is interesting,
Analyzing this makes me feel like a movie is in its making,
Countless thoughts has started popping up in mind,
Many questions also revolving whose answers are yet to find...

Picture of the perfect one resides in every heart,
Finding the right one is a race yet to start,
“I m not prepared for it”... is the reason given by few,
As randomly saying “Yes” isn’t right.... and this fact is totally true...

Search of the ONLY ONE goes on forever,
Matching of the looks and all possible traits happens never,
In the intense hunting process do we ever realize?
At times the perfect one slide’s away and we fail to seize...

God has indeed made a woman for every man,
But our wills don’t really match His plan,
So the season of break off is seen so often,
Followed by tears, darkness and depression in ton...

Well....

Totally confused where this write is heading,
As the question is unanswered and I am tired of questioning,
If anyone knows the checklist that needs to be seen,
Then do share it with the youngsters and today’s teens...

But as every write needs to be ended, so here I go,
So guys and girls do give a second thought before saying a NO,
If time slips by and your chance is gone,
You will keep finding forever your so called perfect one

Princess Of His Empire...

Just penned down a story... :) Hope you guys like it....

Princess Of His Empire...

Breezy evening and the fine view from her balcony,
Old memories comes gushing to her to accompany,
Those thoughts brought a smile on her face,
Looking beyond she recalled how things had fallen into place...

Back then...

They were in different time zone,
So far, but she never felt that she was alone,
Chats and calls were the only means to be in touch,
But still each day they missed each other so much...

His happiness was her sole concern,
She accepted his busy life, though her heart did burn,
Moving up the worldly ladder, he totally forgot,
Back home, someone was missing him a lot...

The day he landed home with all possible fame,
She was dancing in the moonlight, just to hear him call her name,
He stood in front of her with a frozen and confused smile,
Racing towards him, she held him tight for a while...

But....

Something had changed, she did realize,
He was numb, she pleaded, “Say something please...”
“Do you still love me?” he broke the silence softly,
She kept staring as those words hit her brutally...

Tears pouring out, silence all around,
He held her hand and knelt on the ground,
What was coming up, little did she know,
All she could hear was the question over and over again in a row...

Finally he said...

“Busy was I building my empire until now,
But in the process I lost the princess of my empire somehow,
Little did I value or remember your love in this race,
So the question to see if in your life I still have the same place “

Now that he knew what he wanted from life,
He asked her to marry him and be his beloved wife,
His empire was now complete he knew,
Wedding bells finally made them one and together they flew...
