Season is Back...

Season is Back...

Again it’s come back, the end of a season,
We look back and think of so many reason,
To walk down the memory lane,
Of unspoken memories, happy, sad and insane…

So many Xmas memories I had years before,
As a child, everything I used to adore,
Now, all over again my awaiting eyes,
Dying to see my Lord, and ask so many whys??

Zillion reasons I have to give thanks to my Lord,
He has set my life’s tune, to a perfect chord,
I am no longer mad at Him anymore,
But madly in love with Him, for now and more…

This year finally I am back home again,
Home has become cold to warm, devoid of pain,
No more do I feel like moving away from home,
No more urge to run away to Paris or Rome…

Looking back, my life looks like fairy-tale landscape,
All I do is smile these days, the moment I wake,
Thank you lord for drilling me all this while,
Without those aching moments, today would I be wearing this smile?

Feels like a movie is in its making somehow,
And guess what, I am the star in it now,
Villains come and go, so called hero’s also leave,
But the happy ending is pending, this I believe…

Year is ending,
Message I am sending,
That I am finally willing…

Willing...
To go an extra mile,
To dream again,
To forget the pain,
To stay,
To grow,
To laugh,
To cry,
To let go,
To Forgive,
To smile,
To Trust,
To travel,
To surprise,
To pray,
To say,
To praise,
To sing,
To dance,
To play,
To be happy,
To write…

And yes…. Finally
Willing To Love …

Do make a special wish this Christmas Eve,
And show your loved ones you truly believe…

Love you all…

Eventful Week

Eventful Week...

Yawwnnn !!!... Yawwwnnn !!!.... Acting karing people… kinda this is normally my state at midnight… but tonight I am all fresh… reason…. Ahh…. Baba night shift affect…

Few events witnessed this week...

Event 1:

Nite Shift Experience… LnT main tho roj ka tha… till 11 PM mind u though… 12 PM tak ka shift first time kia… well… with a client oh so amazing who keeps cribbing about the climate… keeps cribbing about how the proj is the million dollar project.. keeps cribbing about him being away from his wife… to add more cribbing about the fact that his heart just skipped a beat when he came to know that his wife is driving his 3 months old baby these dayss… ;)…. Sacchi mucchi… I am not exaggerating a bit… you can ask my team mates … ;)

But the worst experience was that for the first time my parents made me feel that I am “Girl”…

First reaction of Mom: “Kya… 12 ko akele ghar kaise aayegi?

Me: Mom easy cab book karungii … ( I thought that would be convincing)

Next reaction from Dad: Cab main akeli aayegii… 12 ko who bhi…

Me: Chill na dad… its safe…

Last reaction from Bro: I am sending the driver and my car… Come with him…

Me: Damnn… the conversation ends when bro makes a say…

So in short my clan made me realize that I am a girl and its unsafe to travel at 12… mann kaun bole inn logo ko… call center people have made Mumbai damnn safe yaa…

Nite shift pics... we do work so sincerely... lol..

Event 2:

Nd i did see SAW yesterday...

Not the "see saw" we used to fight over to sit on by 5 year olds during lunch breaks at the playgrounds (well with me I still fight for it… kids don’t let me sit yaa)….i mean i saw the movie "SAW" yesterday….was a bad decision…the movie wasnt bad….dont crucify me now...but u gotta have a frame of mind to watch a movie…my frame of mind was like - " 5 days of night sift and 14 hours of sleep over these 5 days"…so i shud have watched a movie that wudnt have demended an ounce of my battered n bruised cerebral contents...mebbe a jim carrey thing….but i watched SAW….it was a movie which was blood , blown up bodies, shreds of flesh, more blood, psycopaths, guns, and more blood….n i being a person who feels dizzy at the sight of blood in real life ( yeah , thats true… and I had one time dream to be a doctor… heheh) , had to look away from the screen at times…so i gotta watch some bubbly movie now to make up fr this blunder of mine….wait , ill send out a request over the LAN network rite now….yea….done...

Event 3:

After zillion ultimatums from my manager I finally made up my mind to give Teradata Level 1 certification… people if anyone have dumps please share yaa… I promise I will be good to you in the blog someday… ok today itself… pakka walla promise…

Mann I believe after engg days it was the first weekend I spent studying… mom was shocked.. dad was shocked… bro was shocked… kaamwalli was shocking… I was shocked ;) …. Hehe… but I managed to compete 70% of the portion… 30% tomm… pakkaa ;)… But it feels good when you do something so dedicatedly for someone … mind you not for yourself… for someone else.. in my case for my manager… so that it will be easy for him to give me appraisal… I mean good appraisal without any hiccups …. Hehe.. I know I am generous… kya kare.. bachpan se hi aisii hun ;) …

Event 4 :

And ive been reading blogs...its cool...just looking at the way different people have different lives n different ways of thinking…some are grumbling, some are excited…some ae sad…some are funny…IIM students….bored housewives….teenage girls...software programmers….CAT aspirants….music freaks….IIT geeks….sometimes it feels a waste of time reading all this but it kinda puts my own life in perspective , just to realize that there are so many people and viewpoints out there, n im just one of them…helps one break free of the "im-the-centre-of-world" viewpoint ;) … again see I am so humble…. Khund ki lene ke bhi ek mauka nahi chodati… so guys it’s not just you always ;)

Event 5:

ive been thinking lately...thinking about the concept of success...Am I on the right track ? will I be a success ? Am I moving towards that stage when I will be called a "successful" girl ?

My mom just made me realize yesterday that my neighbour who is 30 year old girl has bought her own flat… so there … I just concluded… as per my counter parts… I am not successful yet… Flat it is… that will make me successful… ;)

wait . isnt there like a common definition of success which has been laid down by society and all of us will be termed successful when we meet the parameters laid down there ? we dont have our own concept of success at all…I want an easy life , but i will be successful if im working my ass off at some I bank in new york…wait, this doessnt make sense…I will be "successful" as per society even though im doing something i dont want to…nah, this is wierd…I wanna spend time with my family , but ill b successful when im at a job where i work day in n day out in a different country…this wont do…kids are working crazy to crack CAT bcos its been told to em that they will be successful only if they get into IIMs...a collective common defintion of success has been fed into their brains… Phew…

So I concluded that as per the society I am on my way to be successful.. but from my eye I have more than I could even dream about… Thanks Lord… you made me this way ;) … weirdo I am ;) … small dreams… yet happy ;)

Event 7:

Three of my LnT buddies came down from Delhi just to meet us… for a re-union… Aaron, HP and Manish (Alphabetical order main likha hai… so Manish bura mat maano kii aapka naam last hai ;) )… Cool naa… felt really good… good old LnT days yaad aagayeee… truly… But I could not go with these guys to Alibaug… again for the second time this week I felt bad that I am a Girl :( … koi aur ladki thi hi nahi… or else I would have gone ...:(

Arron shared a video yesterday which sameer had prepared on his farewell... just brought back LnT memories... it was just awesome... Aaron was the first guy to leave LnT from our group and smeers award winning dialouge in front of the managers during his farewell was : " Aaron is the first person leaving... and the series has just begun... ".... Mann.. managers ki shakal dekhnee layak thi..

Event 8 :

Bro bought home a Guitar for Christmas… It was a good surprise... loved it....I know this is something not to be categorized as an "Event"… but I always wanted to have one… bro ka guitar mera guitar.. simple funda ;) ...for a change i am feeling good to be the little "Girl" of my bro;)

PS: Anyway , I need to go now ... Raat ke 1 baj rahe hai mere aaka.. . I know this is not a coherent end ... There are many many events…But oye , I am not a writer yaar… . I just tell you what’s happening with me … Koi itna honest bandi hogi ... ;)

Yawwwnnn…. Yaawwwnn….. No re… no natak this time… genuine walla thaa… finally I am sleepy… Yaawwnn...

Love,
Reshmaa… oopss…Rashmi… told u I am sleepy …. ;)

Flashback – 2010

Flashback – 2010 ( The Year That Was...)

Ahh… Time has come to re-visit my Commitment list of 2010… Did I make it… or as always was I just about to hit the target but suddenly met with an accident… Ouchh … That hurt !!!

1. Needed a job switch… Bingo…

2. Needed to get my entire LnT gang to Teradata…. Again a bingo… not bad at all…

3. Needed to go to my native place after 10 years…. Pheww

4. Needed to re-connect to my few old friends… Done…

5. Needed to continue loving the guy I loved in the start of 2009… his parents have named him Shahrukh… You guys might have heard of him… ;)

6. Needed to throw my kaamwaali off the balcony for once… My bad... reverse happened... :(

PS: Above listing matches yours then its purely co-incidental… any resemblance to your listing needs to be ignored… ;)

This year flew mannn…. But you know what…

This year was rocking… Nahh… For a change I am not being sarcastic here… Roller coaster ride mann… Whhoooaaa !!!! …. It was awesome… met so many new people… met with few accidents too… few people I wish I hadn’t met… as from my vision (which can go as far as the next day … that’s how far I can manage to think)... I don’t really see what was their aim to enter my life even for a small season… but also few people whom I couldn’t have missed meeting…. And now they are in my world… for life… (I know that sounds scary ;) ) But guess what dude… At the end of the day I am taking back home lotta memories… good and bad… sweet and sour… Beautiful isn’t it…

Not sure if you guys have experienced the same…. Wish u too have… and wish I am one of the person who is worth listing in your lifes book -- marked in bold -"2010"… ;) .. I know that’s too much to ask for … looking at the kind of goofy girl I am… but c’mon yaar… dosti naam ki bhi cheez hoti hai naaa… please please …. Tell na…. I am one of them ;)

For confidentiality reasons I won’t disclose the names of people who did come into my life this year… some stayed… some left (For good ya) …. But each one did teach me a lot…

1. Somebody told me that he lives for “Giving” … Got me thinking… For me “Giving” meant something really BIG… and my BIG is usually veryyy BIG…

Background Check

Residing In - US since 5 years … Ahh… maybe more than that…
Residing With - Laptop … even over the weekends…
Designation - Project Manager
Marital Status – Single …. (Don’t be surprised) … Married to laptop though… ;)

This person told me that he believes in “Giving”… all his life …. All he has done is “Giving”… I thought to myself… really “Giving” to whom… and “Giving” what… he continued saying I give so much to my family…

Pause…

My expression said… ANDDDD… (Then I realized that was it… he had nothing more to say)

Does “Giving” has anything to do with materialistic things…. Nahh my mind said…“Giving”… well never thought about this so much… after loads of thinking I realized

“Giving” implies being with our family on daily basis
“Giving” implies being part of their daily laughs
“Giving” implies being part of their daily cries
"Giving” implies being there when they need someone to talk to
“Giving” implies bearing with their tantrums everyday
“Giving” implies telling them that we love them each day

Staying long distance and “Giving” and fulfilling their financial needs is just not enof… and this struck me hard as at times even though we stay with our families we pretty much do the same (We main filhaal “I” am there for sure) … this fact struck me hard that in the name of work I did get busy with my life… did complete my responsibility towards my family when it came to financial needs… but what about things that cant be fulfilled using material things…

But why restrict just to fly... what about people we call friends... do our friends think of "You" when they have issues ... have we touched their lives... are we "Giving" enof into their lives... if the answer is "Yes"... indeed you have made it...

The whole “Giving” thing made me realize that indeed I am not “Giving” enof to my family…  (Though I have very few regrets when it comes to friends)

Thanks buddy for helping me ponder ;)

But one thing I would like to confess that because of this guy I was able to think of my family I have been ignoring … not ignoring in the literal sense… but ignoring little things like being there with the family on everyday basis in their every day needs…

2. Ranchooo : )

Background Check

Name - Ranjeeta Pegu
Age - Sharam nahi aati…. Ladkiyoon ki umar nahi puchte…
Residing in - Bangalore
Residing with – Her Dreams ;)

Love her spirit mann… She lives a new dream each day… one day she tells me she wants to goto US… other day she tell me she will start her own business… yet another day she wants to go to IIM… phew… even before I register her one dream in my tiny miny mind… I get to hear a new dream… As Deepika Padukone says in “Break Ke Baad” … “Main ek patang hun….bahut udati hun... main mere life ke har scene main ek star hun... " ... suits this madam…

But mann…. Even though I knew her for just 4-5 months right here at Teradata Mumbai I know I learnt so much from her…. to let go things … let go tensions… and live for the moment… this very moment which I hold.. ...hats off to your spirit my dear…

3. Anuya

Background Check

Name - Anuya Aier
Age – AGAIN…Sharam nahi aati…. Ladkiyoon ki umar nahi puchte…
Residing in – Aamchi Mumbai
Residing – In the moment : )

Planning planning planning… analysis analysis analysis… maybe that’s what I have done so far… 90% of my life… sach bolu… koi faayda nahi hota hai ;)… rather late than never… I have realized this…. this little angel enlightened me with this little thing that the more we plan about the future we kinda wreck the present… the moment which we live in… the same moment that just slipped by while you are reading this blog ;) …. I know waste of time naa…. ;)

4. Priyanka

Background Check

Name: Priyanka Das
Age: shameless you guys get at times… she is married so back off ;)
Residing in: Delhi now :(
Residing with: Her hubby of course ;)

Just one word for this girl “Genuine” … I mean no other word but Genuine… whatever she feels its right there on her face… no manipulative words… just a very straight forward and upfront girl… She is a blessing in my life… truly… Though we do nothing but insult and throw sarcastic comments on each other ( in a good way people)… but that’s the beauty of our relationship… The best comment I just got from her just yesterday was “Rashmi … you are a unique personality… the only motivation for me to come down to Mumbai is not my family but you” … my my wat a dialogue… I know I know guys… jyaada hogaya… but then as I said… “Genuine” … that’s what she is… and I trust her on that…. Truly…

Just learned so much from her… to be upfront… to be what you are… not what the world wants to see you as… and its always between you and God… so be upright in front of the Lord… as ultimately you are answerable to God and not to anybody else…

5. Prachi…

Background Check

Name: Prachi Chauhan
Age: mujhse tho chotii hai ;)… stop don’t ask my age now… ;)
Residing in: Mumbaiiii
Residing with: Her isolated thoughts ( though its not isolated from me ;) … she does shares it with me )

I know prachi you will be shocked to see your name in golden print shining in this blog…. Hehe (Ignore the golden letters)… but yes professionally I am damn proud of you dear… Ok… for those who do not know what she has done exceptional in her job life… she was working in a development project in Bluestar…. And somewhere she was bugged… kaun nahi hoga… 100% techies will agree with me… not one of us know are we really made for this field… well she was sure that she wants to get into testing… now with a developer experience of 3 years she knew that she wouldn’t get a job in testing… she resigned without a job back up… joined an institute to learn testing tools and completed the certification for the same.. and bingo got into Testing in Mastek…

While rest of the world (Including me) was busy switching jobs with better packages…. She was busy changing her domain and later searching job for testing (Indeed that implied compromise with less salary.. but that didn’t stop her)…. But now she is doing what she wants to do…

Indeed, this is a big thing from my eyes at least… to go for a domain switch… at the peak stage of your carrier … “Follow your heart”… regardless of the fact that you will succeed or be hit by a failure… As they say “If you have never failed… you have never lived” …

Met so many new people this year… maybe these people came along my way as part of my job switch… so many more I met all over again … after long time… lucky me or what I am not sure but the list of my loved ones have doubled this year… hmm… yeah few of my loved ones did move out of my life… it’s a phase they say… people come in for some season… needless to say they will come back with a bang… optimistic rahane main kya jaata hai boss ;)

So 2010, not all that bad… few best things if asked to list down about this year, they would be

~~ I managed to start a blog and keep it going…Though many of u must have had this urge to send me a letter bomb due to this blog , ive enjoyed it…

~~ I managed to reject the onsite offered to me… whattttttttttttttttttt…. I know this would be the reaction of all you techies reading this blog… But kya kare… I needed a break from LnT yaar people… Teradata is kind enof too… who knows I will be flying in 2011 ;) … being optimistic is the key right… ;)

~~ I got into Teradata Corporation .This was like sachin hitting a century after 10 consecutive ducks. I had been tagged a unique, sarcastic, emotional jerk all through the 4 years of my college. So for once it felt good when even that handsome dude in LnT knew that this girl did something worth it ;)...

~~ I am not doing as well as i wanted to in my engineering days . But i kinda make up for that by assuming a spiritual face and saying " i dont want too much money , u see ;) "….

~~ I still have panga with my kaamwaali… and the ultimatum of either her or me in the house is still not working with my mom ;)

~~ I developed this funny ability to know when to stop. And I feel I should stop now…

PS : Well I missed one point in the above listing …

~~ I made the path breaking discovery that humans can survive without sleep… Finally for the first time in my life I am working on a nite shift… Cant help it… Canada clients you see… But definitely this does not stop me from writing this blog, while my client is busy blabbering something about SAP data…

Wanna have a look at our client… well

Background Check

Location: Teradata Mumbai
Time : 11.30 PM
Meeting Room: Newton
Participants: Myself , Sameer and Nitesh
On the laptop Screen: Client ;)

Hum aur humaare client ;) ... my client wil be regreting 'video-conferencing' if he gets his hands on my blog someday ;)... that day i wll definetly get a mail .. with the subject line - YOU ARE FIRED ;)

Lolzz... I know I know... Stop laughing you guyss... fun at work makes sense now right ;)

Anyways...A very happy 2011 to all of you . Be happy and make others happy , atleast make me happy ;)

Cheers,
Rashmiii

It’s been a while

It’s been a while…

Maybe someday again in the rain,
We will see each other in the same lane,
Remembering those moments filled with bliss,
Hoping to sustain, regretting what we now miss...

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since the last day we have seen each other smile…

Maybe tears might just suddenly fall,
Unknowingly, in front of all,
Words, maybe we won’t find any,
Poets we are, and short of words, so funny…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we last thought we could have gone an extra mile…

Maybe we might not want to face each other,
Scared of re-living the moments we were together,
So we might just turn back and walk away,
Thinking this way we will have nothing to say…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have bid each other good bye…

Maybe we will just go into flashback,
All feelings rushing back, that was closed in a stack,
We might just feel it’s for real or reel,
After ages, looking at each other, it’s a weird feel…

And we might just feel its been a while,
Since we have even thought of someone new…

Maybe we would wish long back things could change,
Then seeing each other wouldn’t be this strange,
But now we would not be able to be ourselves somehow,
As we didn’t part because one of us was devoid of love…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have really lived the way we used to live…

Maybe we will greet each other with a genuine smile,
And as always you will “Hi” me with your unique style,
Holding no regrets, no more pain,
No more tears, no more being sad for vain…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have been "OK" with not being in each others life…

Maybe we would see other with someone new,
We might hold a smile even though it’s a strange view,
Thinking finally we are facing the day we were scared about,
Strangely we might just look happy… indeed happy a lot…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have realized that we have FINALLY moved on…

What I call 'A Lovely Day'

I don’t know how people love and live monotonous life… That too for years mind you…every day same task… same schedule… same people… same life… man people deserve paramveer chakra or even something bigger for living this way…

I was caught up in a project since April 1 this year…. Pretty dangerous date for such a noble thing, I know. It started well as I was at the development end right from the scratch… The project was my baby… Seen it grow you see ;) … No doubt I was doing really well out there… my team size is also simply awesome… Just have a look at the pic below… man we are 30 + in this project…

But then all challenges … all development was over… and now what’s left is the final testing and the yahoo Go-Live phase… “Support” main kaam karnaa tho maine seekha hi nahi hai ;)… hehehe… luckily my managers have always been kind enof to give me development whenever I would tell them “You dump me into support and there my resignation you wll see…” But I was bugged… Imagine the feeling to get up each morning with the thought… damn I know what I have to do at work… work devoid of challenges you see… same old routine…

Then a news flashed that a new proj is being introduced within our project… Something to do with SAP… I was dazzled… it was somewhere my dream since childhood to play with SAP data… ;)… but all I knew was to begin with just 2 resources will move into in… Team 30 + ka … usmain se 2 in the new proj… bahut naainsaafi haii I thought :( …

Then the day came… Ahh…

Scene : Client Call

Location : Teradata, Mumbai

Meeting Room : Newton

Time : 6:00 PM

Team Members : Vishal, Mihir, Myself, My manager…Opps how can I miss… My dear dear client..Carlos…

So the conversation goes like this… THE conversation that brightened my day…

Carloss: Good Evening Guys…. How are you doing today?

Vishal: Cool as always… So lets begin with status as of today

Carlos: Ok

Manager : Before we start Carlos, I need to update you with something.

Carlos: Hmm Hmm

Manager: Rashmi will be moving to the new project starting in Mccain from next week. SAP project...

Pausee… Silence… Sanaataaa…. I was shocked…. All were shocked…

Manager: Carlos are you there…

Carlos: How… when… why… who will be her replacement… she is an expert in dash dash dash…

Manager: Carlos you are over reacting… She is just moving to a new project within Mccain for a year… not outta Teradata… she will be sitting right besides Vishal and Mihir and will be there if they have any issues pertaining the current project…

Carlos: (All disappointed)… I am all for people who move to new projs… but it has really come as a shock to me that Rashmi will be moving…

‘

‘

‘

‘

Conversation continued… all I wanted to do was shout…. Huraaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!

Finally I got up today… no more Monday morning blues… you know how I felt today…

I just love it. The feeling...When the eyes don’t feel heavy...The head doesn’t feel heavy... When the mind feels as a spring garden ….fresh n rosy….the feeling u get seeing a vast countryside field with the windmill and the cows and the cool breeze….thats what happens when your day starts with the thought that finally something new today… or with the hang over of yesterdays fiascos with friends and family… Mann it was heaven today …

So how do you think I got time while I am at work to write something down to bug you guys… well first day of the project is like first day to school… new people… new team… new technology…. New onsite team… introductons… hi hello meetings… mann… that’s what I call ...

'A Gooooooooooooooooooddddddddddddddddddddddd Dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy’

PS:

If any of my team members happen to read this blog… please don’t kill me… I am totally unaware why was I selected amongst the 30 + odd people to work in the new proj…. it was purely the Client end managers decision… so please don’t crucify me… And even if you guys envy me… all I wanna say is… ‘you are always fun to have around’… hehehe...

Love ya,
Rashmi

When Your Dream is Not “In Season”

When Your Dream is Not “In Season”

One time, I was in my backyard talking to a man who was helping me with my landscaping. It was the middle of winter and the grass was very brown. It looked as if it was totally dead. I commented to the man about how bad the grass looked and how dead it was. He said, "Well, Joel, it doesn't look very good now but the truth is the grass is not dead, it's just not in season. In the springtime, this same grass will be just as lush and green as it can be." Sure enough, just a few months later that same brown, dry grass was a gorgeous bright green, filled with life and vitality...

I've found that life works the same way. Sometimes our circumstances look dead. It may look like a dream is dead, a relationship is dead, or a promise is dead. But you have to realize it may just be that it's not in season. It may be that it'll come back around in a new season. We can't give up just because things don't look the way we want them to in the season we are in. We have to dig our heels in and look with our eyes of faith to the new season that is on the horizon...

What am I saying? Just because something looks dead, don't write it off. Our God is a God of new beginnings. When we go through disappointments or setbacks, instead of getting down and discouraged or giving up, choose to have the attitude, "Even though it doesn't look good, I know the truth. It's not really dead; it's just not in season. I'm in wintertime, but I know springtime is coming. So I'm going to lift up my head and get ready for the new things God is about to do." Friend, if you'll keep that attitude of faith you will receive strength to make it through to the next season and it won't be long until those dreams and desires will flourish in every area of your life!...

Life minus Office

Life minus Office…

‘I am at home today’… Silenceeeeeeeee… Knock Knock… you there… Why the sannaaataaa…. Yeahh its not a weekend… its ‘Friday’…. Yeah yeah still I am at home todayyyyyy … hehhehehe… Bahut hua yaaroonn… Break chahiye thaa… Office is the easiest target to pass the blame buck right…. And with the work load I have these days, I will be definitely be registered in Gunnies Book of records for saying ‘I am busy at work’…. Hehehe...

What…??? …. So why am I asking break… yeah… from people… I guess they are the only ones that can get you frustrated in office, in trains, in cars, in buses, in schools, in college and at times at home… Office implies walls… what fills in are people right… So how can I ask for a break from office… I want a break from people for now : ) (My sad level of jokes right now also proves this right ;) )

Kindaa was removing my life’s frustration at people at work… and with me removing frustration would mean not talking and not smiling… damnn that’s a torture for people around me… they kill me by asking ‘Kya hua Rashmi… Aisee chup kyu baithi hai’ … Mann the smiley mask is also getting old now… need to buy a new one soon…. Yipeeee time for shopping ;)

Recently went to crossword… was tired of reading books filled wth Gyaan… wanted to read something really really light… mann not talking abt weight mind u ;)… I meant the content.. after just aimlessly roaming for about 33 mins 45 secs ( This is for all you engineers… happy… look how accurate I get with numbers once in a year … hehe ) … so after my endless search my eyes contacted the lightest book you see …’Tinkle’ …. In a book store setting where the lady standing to my right was browsing through ‘A brief history of time’ by Stephen Hawking and a guy behind me was reaching out for some book on the Indian economy, it is not very elite to pick up ‘Tinkle’… Its like reading Tinkle when the whole world is talking about Global warming… But little did I care… It was like love at first sight for me… all over again… hehe… when was the first time this happened…. Huh… well class 3… English Prof… No wonder I could not focus on the Grammer Lessons he taught and the results can be see even today.. right here.. in ths blog ;)…. My grammer falls all over the place…. Btw is it grammer or grammar… forget lets save that for some other day…

And coming back to the need for a break, I think I was beginning to lose the clarity of thinking which has been a hallmark of my existence since childhood (Atleast one person thinks so… who.. arree ME re… hehe) … I was beginning to lose the wisdom to distinguish a thing I can change from what I can not change. For example , I was spending time feeling bad about the fact that I had some irritating people around me instead of understanding that it is a thing I can not change , unless I had a gun , which I don’t  ;)... So I have made it into a personal objective to further instill this understanding in my daily life over the time to come… ;)

5 months back I attended my friend’s wedding (Sacrificing my Thailand trip… damn I know I could be humble here… but I cant get over the fact that I missed the trip for some weeding…) But what to do… Pretty close friend....(Close Emotionally... phew need to get specific at times... ;) )

But what unsettled me was that this friend, who had a huge disregard for any kind of societal opinions for herself, looked more flustered than a nine year old boy stuck in the backseat of Michael Jackson’s car during her wedding . Some hours before the wedding, she told me ‘I hope I am doing the right thing.’ I looked up from the glass of orange juice ( Note – Another fluid has been replaced with Orange Juice for the purpose of this post ) , and said “First thing , I don’t know if you are doing a right thing or a wrong thing , but you are definitely DOING IT , because now I have spent my money buying you a wedding present for which I am not going to get any refund , have also cancelled my Thailand Trip for which I have already lost half of my refund.” So she went ahead with it and is in Egypt now on her honeymoon .One of the few chaps who went to a ‘mummy’ when most of us would never want our mothers around on our honeymoons...

But I really don’t blame the girl for being a bit unsettled about her choices. At the ripe age of 23, Ok Ok… 25 ;) … when I have spent the last few years exploring the maze of human relations using the tried and tested method of personal experience with disastrous consequences , I can only say one thing about marriage – You find out if it was a good decision or a bad one only twenty five years after the wedding , if not more . If you think that’s a pretty intelligent thing I have said, don’t, because I read it somewhere .Mark Twain maybe. Appreciate my honesty, now...

Chaloo, now stop thinking what the title of this blog means…
Deep deep deep meaning is ‘Life – People’ … Once in a year its good to spend time with yourself …. Office tho aiwe hiii likha haii… easy target u see…

PS

Chalo yaar , you don’t expect me to spend my long long weekend typing away on a laptop . And before I go back , I want to ask you a thing . If you look back at all the comments I have received from you over the last almost 7-8 months I have been blogging , around ninety percent of them would make my parents feel like they have been blessed with a girl of outstanding qualities . Of course , there have been some who have explained to me in no subtle terms that I should be in cage away from my laptop . But in my heart , I feel that all of you have been incredibly kind to me over all this time . So this time around , I want you to be more honest and tell me what you don’t like about me or anything even close to my writing . If you feel there is something about me you don’t like , tell me ....

Ahh…I don’t promise you that I will attempt to change myself , but I promise you I will attempt to find out where you live and what is the time you go for a morning walk… Na na… don’t worry wont stab you… will just join you so that we can get along well…. heheh Ok chill, seriously , tell me what you hate about my writing... I won’t kill you ;)…. Keep smiling...

Love Ya,
Rashmi
