It’s been a while

It’s been a while…

Maybe someday again in the rain,
We will see each other in the same lane,
Remembering those moments filled with bliss,
Hoping to sustain, regretting what we now miss...

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since the last day we have seen each other smile…

Maybe tears might just suddenly fall,
Unknowingly, in front of all,
Words, maybe we won’t find any,
Poets we are, and short of words, so funny…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we last thought we could have gone an extra mile…

Maybe we might not want to face each other,
Scared of re-living the moments we were together,
So we might just turn back and walk away,
Thinking this way we will have nothing to say…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have bid each other good bye…

Maybe we will just go into flashback,
All feelings rushing back, that was closed in a stack,
We might just feel it’s for real or reel,
After ages, looking at each other, it’s a weird feel…

And we might just feel its been a while,
Since we have even thought of someone new…

Maybe we would wish long back things could change,
Then seeing each other wouldn’t be this strange,
But now we would not be able to be ourselves somehow,
As we didn’t part because one of us was devoid of love…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have really lived the way we used to live…

Maybe we will greet each other with a genuine smile,
And as always you will “Hi” me with your unique style,
Holding no regrets, no more pain,
No more tears, no more being sad for vain…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have been "OK" with not being in each others life…

Maybe we would see other with someone new,
We might hold a smile even though it’s a strange view,
Thinking finally we are facing the day we were scared about,
Strangely we might just look happy… indeed happy a lot…

And we might just feel that it’s been a while,
Since we have realized that we have FINALLY moved on…
